Since adoption in 2008, more than 60 presentations have been given to local businesses, clubs, churches, nonprofits and schools, with over 2000 people hearing the Speak Your Peace message including:
Businesses/organizations - presentations have been made to over 20 area businesses including: Animal Medical & Surgical Clinic, Bulls Eye Credit Union, Nekoosa Ambulance Department, Renaissance Assisted Living, Riverview Hospital, and Wood Co. Health Department.
Churches - Speak Your Peace themed messaged series offered during service.
Municipalities - civility tools practiced by several local cities, towns, and villages.
Nonprofits - over 20 South Wood County area nonprofits have received a Speak Your Peace presentation including: Family Center, Lowell Center and ODC, Inc.,
Programs -
- Heart of Wisconsin Leadership Class; area community members participating in the leadership class have heard Speak Your Peace.
- Inner Wisconsin Teen Leadership Institute
- Why & How to Run for Local Elected Office; Speak Your Peace is a civility platform for individuals interested in running for office.
- South Wood County Teen Leadership; over 50 local teens have heard the Speak Your Peace message through their participation in this leadership program.
Schools/School Boards -
campaign has been incorporated by students, teachers, staff and administrators.
- Area Technical College - presentations have been given to cosmetology students; supervisory groups; correctional officers; operating room technicians and IT groups.
- Over 500 Wisconsin Rapids Public School employees received Speak Your Peace materials including flyers and toolkits during 2010 orientation.
